How do I add teammates to my account?

Updated August 11, 2026

Team Collaboration lets you share one TubeAI account — credits, generation history, and connected channels — with editors, VAs, or managers, without each person needing their own paid subscription. It's built for agencies and creator teams, and it's an Enterprise plan feature.

How to invite a teammate

  1. Open Settings → Team.
  2. Enter your teammate's email address and choose their role.
  3. Send the invite. They'll show as Pending until they log in for the first time, then flip to Active.

On Free, Basic, or Pro plans, the Team tab shows an upgrade prompt instead — team management requires Enterprise.

The two roles

  • Full Access — can view everything and generate new content.
  • Read-Only — can view everything (scripts, reports, history, boards) but cannot generate anything new. Useful for clients or reviewers who need visibility without spend.

You, the account owner, are always Owner — you control billing and team membership, and can't be removed. Only the owner can remove members or delete the team; members can't leave on their own (removal goes through the owner).

How billing and credits work on a team

This is the most important thing to understand: everything a team member does happens against the owner's account. There is no per-seat credit allowance — it's one shared credit pool, and every member's generations draw from it. Adding teammates doesn't cost extra by itself, but their usage counts against your balance like your own.

All generated content, saved history, and connected channels are shared across the team too, and the transaction ledger in Settings → Transactions shows the whole team's credit activity in one place.

Limits worth knowing

  • You can run one team at a time. To start a different one, delete the current team first.
  • If you downgrade from Enterprise, existing team members keep their access, but you can't add or manage members until you're back on Enterprise.
  • Deleting the team removes everyone's access immediately; your own account and content are unaffected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plan do I need for teams?

Enterprise. On other plans, the Team tab in Settings shows an upgrade prompt instead of team management.

Do teammates get their own credits?

No — the whole team shares the owner's credit pool. Every member's generations draw from the same balance, and all activity shows in the shared transaction ledger.

What can a Read-Only member do?

View everything on the account — scripts, reports, history, boards — but not generate new content. In some tools they can still make light edits, like editing existing titles or rearranging a board, but anything that spends credits requires Full Access.

Can a team member leave on their own?

No — only the account owner can remove members or delete the team. If someone needs to be removed, the owner does it from Settings → Team.
