What is Hugo and what can it do?

Hugo is TubeAI's built-in AI strategist — a single conversation that can see your channel data, your generation history, TubeAI's database of millions of analyzed videos and channels, and live web research. Instead of deciding which tool to open, you ask Hugo one question and it works out what to pull from and what to run.

What Hugo can do

  • Answer with your real numbers. With an analytics-connected channel, Hugo can pull your official YouTube Analytics — traffic sources, demographics, watch time, per-video performance — and present it with charts.
  • Research the landscape. Ask about proven title patterns, growing channels in your niche, or thumbnail styles that work — Hugo queries TubeAI's research database directly.
  • Analyze any video or channel. Paste a YouTube link and Hugo fetches live stats, transcripts, and can even watch a video to describe its pacing and style.
  • Trigger generations from chat. Hugo can kick off scripts, thumbnails, titles, viral ideas, analytics and engagement reports — they run in the background and land in the conversation and your history.
  • Search the web and social media. For algorithm changes, trend context, or what people are saying on X and Reddit right now.
  • Remember you. On paid plans, Hugo remembers your niche, preferences, and past decisions across conversations.

What it costs

Every message to Hugo costs 3 credits, charged once per message no matter how many lookups Hugo runs to answer it. Research lookups (web, social, YouTube Analytics, database) add 2 credits each. Generations triggered from chat cost the same as running them directly — for example a script is 25 credits and viral ideas are 50. Failed lookups and generations are refunded automatically.

Does every message really cost 3 credits?

Yes — each message is 3 credits regardless of how many tools Hugo uses to answer. Research lookups add 2 credits each, and generations Hugo triggers cost their normal price. If something fails mid-response, the charge is refunded automatically.

Can Hugo see my past scripts and reports?

Yes, on every plan. Hugo can search and pull up anything you've previously generated on TubeAI at no extra cost.

Does Hugo remember me between conversations?

On paid plans, yes — Hugo remembers your niche, preferences, and strategic decisions across sessions. On Free, each conversation starts fresh.

How do I use Hugo on my phone?

Link your account to the Telegram bot from the account menu (Hugo on Telegram). You can text, send photos, and on Pro and above send voice messages.
