How do I generate a video script?

The Script Writer turns a video idea into a complete, line-by-line YouTube script, matched to the voice of any channel you choose and grounded in live research with citations. You can write a regular long-form script or a one-minute Short.

Create a script

1. Open Scripts in the sidebar under Content Creation and click New Script.
2. Choose Regular or Short.
3. Add your idea: type it (at least 20 characters), or choose From viral ideas to use an idea from Quick Ideas.
4. Under Voice Style, keep your connected channel or enter another channel's @handle, channel URL or a playlist link. Video and Shorts links are not accepted. Leave it blank to write without a channel voice.
5. For regular scripts, pick a Script Length and a Research Type (see below).
6. Optionally pick a Your Voice profile under Voice Finetune, and add sponsor details under More options.
7. Click Create Script (or Create Short).

Cost and timing

• A regular script or a Short costs 25 credits.
• A script with Swarm Agents research costs 1,000 credits.

Credits are deducted when you click Create, and refunded automatically if the generation fails. Shorts take about 1-3 minutes, regular scripts 3-5 minutes and Swarm scripts 10-20 minutes. You can leave the page; the script keeps generating and appears when you come back.

Script length

Auto matches the length of the chosen channel's recent videos. The 5, 10 and 15-minute options are on every plan; 20, 30 minutes and custom lengths depend on your plan. Very long scripts are deliberately written longer than the selected length, so a 20 or 30-minute script can come out noticeably longer than you picked.

Research

Every script is researched on the web and in the news, and each fact is linked to its source. Swarm Agents, on plans that include it, runs several research agents in parallel and can add financial charts. Swarm isn't available for Shorts.

On paid plans, every script also gets an automatic fact-check and a cleanup pass that removes typical AI phrasing. Free-plan scripts skip these two passes.

Your Voice profiles

Click Your Voice to create reusable profiles: who you are, your audience and tone, plus Do and Don't rules. A profile only applies to a script when you select it in Voice Finetune for that script. You can save up to 20 profiles.

Editing your script

• Click a line to edit it. Press Enter to split a line, Backspace at the start to merge it with the line above.
• Shift+click two lines to select a range, then delete it or type an instruction and click Rewrite (3 credits per rewrite).
• Press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo. The undo history resets when you reload the page, but your edits are saved.
• Toggle Citations to show or hide sources.

Use the copy button (with or without citations) or download a PDF. Every script is saved under Your scripts.
