On YouTube
Outliers, right in the feed
Three small additions to YouTube’s own pages, and nothing on the player.
Outlier scores on video tiles
A pink pill with a flame sits above the title of each video TubeAI has scored: how many times its channel’s typical views it’s pulling. Click it to open the video in TubeAI.
Save from the tile
The save button on a video tile opens your TubeAI folders, with search, a check on the folders that already hold it, and Create new folder. A video TubeAI doesn’t have yet is saved with its title, views, channel, date and length.
One pill next to YouTube’s logo
Open TubeAI, open or close the side panel, or hide the pills and save buttons in every open YouTube tab with one click.
The Page tab
TubeAI’s numbers for the page you’re on
Open the side panel on a video or a channel. It follows along as you switch tabs and click around YouTube.
On a video
Watch pages, Shorts and live streams get the video’s TubeAI profile.
- Views, views gained, and the outlier multiplier against the channel’s median
- View history, with title and thumbnail changes marked on the curve
- Before and after cards for the changes TubeAI recorded
- Open it in TubeAI, or save it to a folder
On a channel
A channel page gets the channel’s profile, and the channels most like it.
- Subscribers, videos, average and median views, upload rhythm and outlier rate
- Growth history, from the last 30 days to all of it
- Up to 12 similar channels with a match score, each a click from a folder
- Performance Analysis of its uploads, on plans that include it
A video or channel TubeAI hasn’t analyzed yet shows “Not in TubeAI yet”.
Hugo
Your strategist in the side panel
Ask about the video or channel you’re on: Hugo starts from TubeAI’s data for it.
Starts from the page you’re on
Each message carries TubeAI’s record of the open video or channel, when it has one, with the page’s address and your active channel. No links or numbers to paste, and the starter questions change with the page.
Titles, scripts and thumbnails from chat
When Hugo suggests titles and a description, viral ideas, a script or thumbnails, every option sits in a strip under his answer, with the price on the Generate button. Nothing in the strip runs until you press it.
The same Hugo, the same history
It’s the Hugo from the web app, with one chat history: chats linked to Telegram are marked, and an answer keeps running if you close the panel. Stop keeps what he’s written so far.
Fast, Balanced or Max
Choose how hard Hugo works on an answer. Balanced is the default; Max uses every specialist your plan includes, on plans that include it.
PDFs and images
Attach, drop or paste them into a message on plans that include file uploads: up to 5 files a message.
Results you can keep working on
Generated titles, scripts and thumbnails land in the chat as blocks you can edit, copy or open, and they’re saved to your TubeAI account.
YouTube Studio
Helpers in YouTube Studio
The pill and the side panel come along to Studio, with three tools made for it.
What’s working on YouTube
In Studio, the Page tab shows the top viral words and title formats behind outlier videos, each list linked to the full view in TubeAI.
Keep your A/B test results
A Save to TubeAI button on Test & Compare results keeps each variant’s title, thumbnail and watch-time share in your Dashboard’s A/B Tests tab.
Copy what your audience watches
On the Audience tab, copy the videos your viewers watch as links, and the channels they watch as URLs or @handles.
Step by step
Add it to Chrome
Install it from the Chrome Web Store, sign in to TubeAI on the web, and open YouTube.
- 1
Add it to Chrome
Open TubeAI Extension (Beta) on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Open YouTube tabs reload so it can attach.
- 2
Sign in to TubeAI on the web
There’s no separate login: the extension uses your TubeAI session from the web app, in the same Chrome profile. No account yet? A Free one works.
- 3
Open YouTube
Outlier pills show on the videos TubeAI has scored. The TubeAI pill next to YouTube’s logo, or the extension’s icon in Chrome’s toolbar, opens the side panel.
- 4
Connect your channel
Optional: connect your YouTube channel in TubeAI, so Hugo can compare what you’re looking at with your own channel and your folders sort by channel.
Good to know
Costs, limits and permissions
What’s free, what uses credits, and what the extension may touch.
What costs nothing
The pills, saving to folders, the Page tab and the Studio tools use no credits. They need you signed in, except the Audience tab’s copy buttons.
What uses credits
Each Hugo message uses credits, and so does anything he generates, as in the web app. If an answer fails, the message is refunded.
A shared daily limit
Some Page tab lookups, like similar channels, count toward your plan’s daily database limit, shared with the web app and the Claude connector. It resets at 00:00 UTC.
Light on permissions
It asks for storage and Chrome’s side panel, on youtube.com, studio.youtube.com and tubeai.app only. No notifications, no screen or video capture, and no code loaded from outside the extension.
Stays out of YouTube’s way
Nothing sits on the player. TubeAI’s data lives in the side panel, which follows the tab you’re on, and one click hides the pills everywhere.
In beta
It’s listed as TubeAI Extension (Beta) on the Chrome Web Store, and it’s still growing. It runs in Google Chrome on a computer.
