I'm Allan Torp—interior designer, quiet renovator, and believer in slow, meaningful living. A few months ago, I moved into a charming but timeworn house from 1939, tucked into the Danish countryside. With me is Alvar, my small pup and self-appointed project leader, who makes sure I don’t take myself—or this renovation—too seriously. Together, we’re reimagining this home one project at a time. Sometimes it’s the hallway floor, sometimes a forgotten corner of the garden, and sometimes just pausing long enough to admire the view of yellow fields and the lake beyond. This is a place where design meets real life. Where time is a little slower, and beauty is found in the quiet details. You're invited to follow along as we restore, rebuild, and settle in—step by step.
