I’m Cécile Yadro, a French artist and art teacher with a sketchbook never very far away. I sketch places, people, food and the little moments I want to remember, sometimes on location, sometimes from photos, and often somewhere in between. My pages mix drawing, paint, collage, collected papers and whatever else feels right. On this channel, I share travel sketching, urban sketching, sketchbook experiments, materials, techniques and the thinking behind my pages. I’m interested in simplifying what I see, making creative choices and finding ways to make a sketchbook personal rather than perfect. I believe you can take your art seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Want to make a travel sketchbook page of your own?
