Hi, I’m Mick — the face behind Celtic Mick Travels. After going through prostate cancer during COVID and having my prostate removed, I realised life is too short to keep putting dreams on hold. Recovery gave me a new outlook on life, and I decided to challenge myself by walking the Camino de Santiago before taking on the incredible Langtang Valley Trek in Nepal. Those experiences changed my life — and inspired me to start this channel. Now I travel the world on a budget, searching for real experiences, local food, hidden gems, crazy transport adventures, and the kindness of strangers along the way. From the streets of Vilnius and Minsk to Riga, Tallinn, and Helsinki, from the chaos of Hyderabad to the food markets of Kuala Lumpur and the hospitality of Lahore — every trip has a story. This channel is about adventure, resilience, stepping outside your comfort zone, and proving that ordinary people can still see the world no matter where they start from. Join Me. I am OLD :)
