Hi, we're Suzie and Rols! We traded the UK for the French countryside and a crumbling, but gorgeous, medieval Citadelle (Fortress) Forget fancy renovations – we're tackling this with sheer determination and a whole lot of resourcefulness! Things haven't exactly gone smoothly (think broken tools, unexpected setbacks, and a constant stream of "what next?!"), and our initial plans took a detour when Suzie was diagnosed with cancer a few months into our adventure. Right now, our budget is tighter than ever, but our spirit remains strong. We're sharing the real, often messy, and sometimes hilarious reality of restoring a historic building with limited means, all while navigating the challenges life throws our way. If you enjoy watching a couple learn as they go, embrace the chaos, and find the beauty in the unexpected, then grab a virtual cup of tea and subscribe. We'd love to share our journey with you!
