Hi! I'm Cathy - D' Clumsy Soaper. Welcome to my soap making channel. As much as I enjoy coming up with soap making recipes & experimenting with soap design techniques, nothing beats the fulfillment in giving and sharing! In here, you'll find soap making tips & tricks for beginners so that you can get started with soap making at home. Soap making is my creative outlet. I can relax and find peace in melting down oils & stirring them with lye to become soap. It's also an excellent way to put all my extra hours into something productive. My soap making journey started in 1993, I was 13 years old. My first soap was an epic fail! Since science is my first love, you can imagine my eagerness in soap troubleshooting. When I finally succeeded in making soap, I tried another recipe. It went on and on. From a simple hobby, it became bigger than me. It led on a path towards a degree in Chemistry & obtaining a Professional License. I'm a Scientist for two decades. I recently pivoted as Lecturer.
