About

This Channel explores what happens when society becomes less culturally literate and loses touch with the great art of the past. The whole range of Western culture is used to demonstrate how all the arts - literature, paintings, cinema, theatre, poetry and sculpture, can illuminate our sense of life's deeper meaning. "Textual healing" is seen as a cure for our media-saturated, screen-dominated age . A regular Book Club devoted to Proust's masterpiece "Remembrance of Things Past"/"In Search of Lost Time" takes place twice a month as a Livestream and is available afterwards in the "Live" section. Regular livestreams also take place with regular contributions from some permutation of Darren F. Magee, Richard Grannon, Stuart Shaw, and James Cox. #books #philosophy #literaryanalysis #artappreciation #bookstoread #artphilosophy #theodyssey #proust
