About

Forgotten Coordinates tells the stories of places the sea is slowly taking back. Vanishing islands. Drowning coastlines. Towns that won't exist in fifty years. Forgotten harbors where ships once docked and where nothing remains now but the marks the water left behind. Every coastline is a record of something that used to be there. We start every story on Google Earth. We zoom in on a coordinate that doesn't quite belong, find the thing that doesn't fit, and follow the trail until it ends. Sometimes the trail ends in a royal archive. Sometimes in a nineteenth century lighthouse keeper's journal. Sometimes in a single eyewitness still alive to tell us what they saw. We chase the story wherever it goes. These are the kinds of stories most documentaries don't make because the places are too small, too quiet, too far gone. That's exactly why we make them.
