Two elderly homesteaders in Maine living in an old cabin, with an eighteenth century theme. We do gardening in the summer, and sew, spin, weave, and cook during winter months. We are ‘mostly’ off grid, using a wood stove for heating and cooking, a hand well pump, and four small solar panels for the little electricity we use. In other words, we live very minimally. But when it comes to food, we try to research and purchase quality ingredients. We are what you might call ‘Luddites’ in that we do not like technology. We did not have a computer until recently, which makes longer and better content possible. Gathering Basket Homestead P.O. Box 71 Saint Albans, Maine 04971
