Hi, I’m Inga and I love abstract acrylic painting! I’ve been painting on canvas and paper for many years. I’m particularly fascinated by Gerhard Richter’s abstract paintings – and by the freedom to create something new again and again with colour, layers and textures. In my studio, paintings emerge layer by layer. I work with squeegees, brushes, palette knives, sponges and sometimes completely different things. I love it when traces of earlier layers remain, when something disappears again, or when a colour suddenly changes the direction of a painting. The squeegee technique has become an important part of my work. I experiment, make decisions, sometimes change my mind – and that is exactly the process I share in my videos. Some of my techniques and painting ideas can also be found in my German-language book “Abstrakte Acrylbilder – Schicht für Schicht”. If you’d like to join me while I work in my studio, I’d love to have you stop by again.
