I’m Julessa Scofield, a metalsmith, educator, and mentor helping jewelers learn how to think at the bench—not just follow instructions. Here you’ll find practical guidance on stone setting, soldering, tools, metal gauge, bench math, fabrication, troubleshooting, and the decisions that help you become a more confident metalsmith. My focus is helping beginner and intermediate makers understand not only what to do, but why it works, what to notice, and how to solve problems when a project doesn’t go as planned. For free resources and downloads, visit My Bench at www.julessascofield.com. For deeper training, explore Metalsmith Mentor™ Skill Kits. Coming soon: the Metalsmith Mentor™ app for personalized bench guidance. Subscribe and learn to make better decisions, solve problems, and grow your skills—one bench decision at a time.
