Hi, I’m Lucy Powrie, an author, book influencer, and reader of classics. I've been making videos online as LucyTheReader since 2013, and am the founder and host of the Classics Community, an online community for lovers of old books. My favourite classics include Shirley by Charlotte Brontë, Tess of the d’Urbervilles and Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, The Call by Edith Ayrton Zangwill, and The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. I’m the author of four books for teens and young adults: The Paper & Hearts Society series, and Real When I’m With You. In my spare time, I’m also the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Brontë Society. It’s safe to say that books make up around 99.9% of my waking hours! Happy reading!
