MICKSGONEFISHING.COM Growing up and living in Mackay for the last 35 years has been bloody good to me. I've been lucky enough to have been brought up on and around the water since a very young age and it shows in my addiction to fishing. Fishing to me, it's my happy place, something I can do to get away and switch off from the rest of the world. Having grown up with A.D.D I am known to overthink and over analyse all types of fishing scenarios and I won't rest until I feel I've learnt something new. I like to experiment using all the latest and greatest tackle and techniques to fool our local FNQ species, I've been sponsored and have worked in the industry for almost 10 years, have extensive product knowledge and evolve my style and techniques to adapt to technology as it advances. Hopefully this rubs off to help everyone watching. I love all types of lure fishing and specialise in a range of techniques from lure fishing creeks, slow pitch jigging and topwater reef flats.
