Nick Sanders MBE is a legendary long-distance adventurer who’s circumnavigated the world eleven times by bike and motorbike. He cycled 13,609 miles in 138 days in 1981, and again in 1984, riding 22,000 km in 79 days. In 1992, he rode a Royal Enfield Bullet around the globe, then broke records on a Triumph Daytona (19,930 miles in 31 days) and a Yamaha R1 (19 days). In 2011, he rode from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego and back in under 50 days. In 2024, he became the first to ride an electric bicycle around the world. He’s crossed the Sahara to Timbuktu, cycled to the source of the Nile, captained narrowboats across the Channel and along the Danube, and holds a pilot licence for hot air ballooning. Awarded an MBE for services to endurance riding, Nick continues to adventure, write, film, and inspire after 40 years as a professional long distance adventurer.
