Hi, I’m Andrew, the North Yorkshire Wanderer. I make documentary-style films exploring the history of North Yorkshire. From lost railways and abandoned stations to seaside towns, grand old buildings and forgotten places across the North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast and further afield around England’s largest county. I walk where history happened, telling the stories that shaped this region, how its landscape has changed, and what those changes mean today. Many of the places I explore once stood at the heart of local life. Some have vanished entirely. Others still stand, quietly overlooked. Through archive research, on-location filming and thoughtful storytelling, I aim to preserve their stories and reconnect us with the past. These films aren’t just about history, they’re about identity, memory, and the landscapes that continue to shape Yorkshire. Come for the history, stay for the wander down memory lane. New films released regularly.
