About
Hello, I’m Tony Low, a Professor at the University of Minnesota, with over two decades of research experience in semiconductors, nano-devices, quantum materials, and emerging technologies at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Columbia University, Yale University, Purdue University, and the National University of Singapore. Professor Nano shares key ideas through concise, 10-minute “knowledge nuggets” built from first principles. Topics span semiconductors, electronic and optical devices, quantum physics, nanotechnology, and the science behind future computing. We won’t shy away from math, because equations often provide the clearest path to understanding. Think of these videos as a fresh format for college-level lectures: focused, engaging, and designed to make complex ideas clear. Members will gain access to advanced, graduate-level and research-oriented topics. Opinions expressed here are solely my own and do not reflect the views of my current or previous employers.
