After six years of running a farm-to-table business in Indiana, we made the difficult decision to sell it all and chase a dream, traveling the country and learning from the small farms and farmers who are doing things differently. Over the next year, we visited more than 100 farms, learning, asking questions, and discovering new ways to care for the land, raise animals, and build a life around farming. Now, we’re settling down again in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia, starting a new homestead completely from scratch. This is the next chapter, building a homestead, raising our family, caring for animals, growing food, and putting everything we’ve learned along the way into practice.
