Welcome to TriStar Diggin’! I’m Sam McNelley, an excavation contractor and heavy equipment operator from East Tennessee. Follow along on real-world excavation projects including ponds, house sites, drainage, septic systems, land clearing, roads and driveways. I share the successes, mistakes, unexpected problems and what it really takes to get the job done. You’ll also see equipment demonstrations, operator training, industry events and collaborations with other creators. Before TriStar Diggin’, I spent 23 years in law enforcement. After retiring, I farmed full-time before moving into excavation and heavy equipment work. What started as sharing that work on YouTube has grown into something I never expected, and today I’m blessed to be a full-time content creator.
