Strategy games are at their best when you understand the decisions behind them. I’m UnstableVoltage, a professional game developer with a particular love for turn-based tactics, 4X and strategy games. I’ve worked on turn-based tactical games alongside X-COM creator Julian Gollop, and I bring that experience to every game I cover. Here you’ll find thoughtful first looks at promising new and upcoming games, beginner-friendly guides, mechanics breakdowns, scripted critiques and carefully chosen Let’s Plays. From XCOM-likes and tactical RPGs to grand strategy, colony builders and obscure indie experiments, I’m always looking for games that offer interesting decisions rather than empty spectacle. This isn’t promotional fluff. I’ll show you what a game does well, where it struggles and whether it deserves your time. Subscribe for informed, honest strategy coverage, with the occasional catastrophic tactical decision for educational purposes. Contact: uv@unstablevoltage.com
