The videos mirror the chronological development of my home workshop starting with a homemade lathe and very basic facilities before moving onto the refurbishment of old British machine tools. I currently have a Colchester Student Mk 1.5 lathe, a Myford Super Seven lathe, an Adcock & Shipley 1A mill, an Elliot 10in shaper, two pillar drills, and basic measuring equipment. Since I am limited for space the next natural progression has been to make tools and fixtures to use in the workshop to improve efficiency and capability of these basic machines. As the channel has evolved I have begun to put more effort into presenting design and detail drawings in case anyone is interested in making the projects themselves. Drawings can be obtained from workshopfriend@gmail.com Occasionally, I undertake projects which are not for the workshop itself in the form of repairs or making items for people who do not have their own workshop. That too is satisfying!
